Overview

The Miserable Final in Japan

The last episode of Gundam GQuuuuuuX, which aired in Japan, truly shattered our expectations. Fans, myself included, were eagerly waiting for a breathtaking battle, maybe with giant explosions or heroic sacrifices that make your heart race. Sadly, instead of that, it was filled with long, boring scenes that went nowhere. For example, instead of an action-packed showdown, characters just spun around in dialogue that felt forced and dull, like they couldn’t be bothered to make it exciting. It honestly seemed like the creators were in a rush to end the series without bothering to make it thrilling or emotional. The result? A finale that was neither epic nor satisfying — it was just disappointing to the core, leaving fans frustrated and disappointed.

Why Fans Were So Disappointed

Many us, including myself, felt that this ending completely missed what makes a great anime finale. We wanted scenes with massive fights, where heroes dodged laser beams or launched devastating attacks, and emotional moments that truly touched us—like characters finally confessing their feelings or making big sacrifices. Instead, what we saw were scenes that only showed characters talking, without feeling genuine or powerful. For instance, crucial character moments were replaced with shallow dialogue about future plans that lacked any real feeling. This lack of strong, memorable scenes transformed the ending into something shallow, predictable, and forgettable. That’s why so many fans felt utterly let down — because it lacked that vital spark that made earlier episodes so exciting and meaningful.

What Could Have Been an Amazing Ending

A truly exceptional ending should make viewers feel thrilled and give a sense of closure that sticks with them forever. It could include jaw-dropping fight scenes filled with spectacular special effects, or touching moments where characters sacrifice everything for each other. Imagine the excitement of a final battle with explosions lighting up the sky or a heartfelt scene where two characters finally overcome their differences through tears and courage. Sadly, the last episode of Gundam GQuuuuuuX totally missed these opportunities. Instead, it relied on hurried explanations and predictable, uninspired scenes that lacked energy. If only the finale had combined high-octane fights, surprising plot twists, and emotional depth, fans like me would have been over the moon. That is the essence of a good ending — one that leaves a mark, sparks conversations, and makes you want to watch it all again, not a half-hearted conclusion that feels rushed and empty.
